SENIOR PROGRAMMER - AI -- Rockville, Maryland

We are seeking a Senior Programmer to create innovative and cutting edge next generation quality AI. 

Responsibilities:

• The AI Programmer will be responsible for designing an automated system to control the behaviors, short and long term goals, and reasoning of AI.
• This person will be tasked with implementing path finding algorithms and solutions.
• The person in this role will create data driven, customizable, flexible, and robust code, systems, and algorithms.
• Provide technical expertise to develop games or technologies in support of games.
• Reliably create good quality, performance-minded code.
• Provide a complete task list and schedule for responsible work.
• Assist less experienced engineers with the creation of their task lists and schedules.
• Assist in the sharing of ideas and exploration of new practices to continually improve the quality of software development for the Company.
• Provide leadership and insight to help the team avoid and overcome obstacles as they arise during development.
• Provide coaching skills to help develop less experienced engineers.
• Excel as a team member and strive to maximize team and departmental performance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years professional or related experience with at least 3 shipped titles.  
• Excellent working knowledge C++.
• Development experience on game consoles (Xbox360/PS3/PSP).
• Experience in object-oriented design and implementation. 
• Ability to contribute innovative and original ideas towards all aspects of game production and development.
• Ability to work independently and to be self-directing required.
• Excellent team and communication skills required.
• B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science and/or Mathematics. 
• Passion for making GREAT games.
