The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon Goes Gold
Hunt Werewolves - or
Become One - in Expansion to Award-Winning Morrowind
May 23, 2003 (Rockville, MD) - Bethesda Softworks®
announced today that The Elder Scrolls III: Bloodmoon
- the expansion pack for its critically acclaimed RPG, The
Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind® for PC - has gone to gold
master and will ship to stores the first week of June. In
Bloodmoon, you'll help build a mining colony and face the
threat of werewolves, or decide to become a werewolf and indulge
your thirst for the hunt. Either way, Bloodmoon offers a completely
different experience from anything you've seen in Morrowind.
Bloodmoon takes you to the frozen Island of Solstheim where
the Empire is establishing a new mining colony - a venture
being threatened by the prophecy of the Bloodmoon and rumors
of werewolves. Your journey north from Vvardenfell by ship
will bring you to a whole new world, where the ashlands and
rainy coasts of Morrowind give way to forests and hills covered
with snow and ice. In the huge wilderness of Solstheim you'll
experience snow, blizzards, and new creatures, including frost
trolls, ice minions, and wolves
just to name a few.
You'll have a choice of stories to follow and have the opportunity
to defend the colony, take control over how the colony is
built up, and eliminate the werewolves. Or, you can decide
to join the werewolves and become one of them, opening up
a whole new style of gameplay. Bloodmoon can be played by
any character at any time, whether you are just starting,
in the middle of, or have already finished the main quest
of Morrowind and/or the Tribunal expansion.
In addition, all of the content from Bloodmoon will be available
in the recently announced Morrowind GotY edition, allowing
Morrowind Xbox gamers to experience all of the content of
the two PC expansions, Tribunal and Bloodmoon, with their
existing save games and characters from Morrowind.
